Minokawa Song

Minokawa Song is a Filipino drag artist and performer living in Treaty 1 territory. Though new to the drag scene, she is no stranger to the stage! Coming from a background of both theatre and cosplay, her anime-inspired style touches on all fun parts of self expression and she can't wait to share it with you!

Minokawa Song began experimenting with drag performance in late 2022, greatly fueled by her interest in performance. Since then, she has made appearances in a variety of shows around Winnipeg including The Rocky Horror Drag Show, Ruby Chopstix's Velvet Rope, Aria Zero's SUPERSTAR, and Miss Assuma Gender's Transcendent Showcase.

An important part to Minokawa's drag is being able to bring her full and authentic self to the stage. Being transgender, Filipino, disabled, and neurodivergent, there have been many societal barriers in her life. However, Minokawa embraces all those aspects of her identity and strives to fully show her pride as a member of those communities.
