Minokawa Song

Minokawa Song is a Filipino drag artist based in Winnipeg known for blending lip‑sync, live singing, acting, and theatre‑inspired character work. With roots in cosplay & theatre, and a strong Filipino artistic identity, she brings detailed design, cultural symbolism, and genre‑spanning numbers to stages across the city. Her style touches on all fun parts of self expression and she can't wait to share it with you!

Minokawa Song began experimenting with drag performance in late 2022, greatly fueled by her interest in performance. Since then, she has made appearances in a variety of shows around Winnipeg including Cake's Poppyfields, The Rocky Horror Drag Show, Ruby Chopstix's Velvet Rope, Aria Zero's SUPERSTAR, and Miss Assuma Gender's Transcendent Showcase.
Minokawa Song is also a proud finalist of Rainbow Resource Centre's Drag Artist in Residency 2026.

An important part to Minokawa's drag is being able to bring her full and authentic self to the stage. Being transgender, Filipino, disabled, and neurodivergent, there have been many societal barriers in her life. However, Minokawa embraces all those aspects of her identity and strives to fully show her pride as a member of those communities.
